Happy February!

Here are a few dates to keep in mind. Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 12th is Early Release Day. We will exchange valentine cards on Thursday, February 14th. Monday, February 18th is Presidents’ Day and is a school holiday. Next week – February 19th – 21st the children will take their final MAP Tests. Please make sure your child goes to bed early and eats breakfast at home or at school to help ensure he/she does their best on the tests. These tests are a good indication of how your child may perform on the CRCT. Don’t forget to take advantage of the practice tests available on the CRCT Online.

Please continue to review multiplication facts with your child daily. Spending a few minutes each day reviewing the flashcards is so beneficial, especially as we continue to learn the harder facts – 6’s, 7’s, 8’s, and 9’s.

The children have enjoyed learning about rocks, minerals, and fossils. We will have a test on the information we have learned on Friday, February 15th. This week we will be discussing soil and will have a test on that information on February 22nd.
